I remember the good time Mom, Juanita, John, Lyncie and I had in Hawaii.  John was 16 and he ate like a horse.  He was eating so much that Mom offered to help me pay for his food.  Mom loved for people to eat -- a lot, but she didn't want you to get fat.  John was tall and skinny so she wanted him to eat until he had enough so she offered to help me pay for his consumption.  Of course, I didn't take anything.  Besides John seemed to be getting quite enough from Lyncie's plate. Mom loved to bargain shop and there were markets a couple of blocks from the hotel. She loved to go over and negotiate some good deals.   I must say she was good at it.  I really miss her.

First, to the entire Bennett Family, may God bless you all and strengthen you in yuor time of such a GREAT loss.  One does not have to have known Mama Bennett to appreciate the GREATNESS of this woman.  I always believe that the true GREATNESS of the parents will be demonstrated by the sacrifices they make for their children.  Thus, their children shall be able to achieve more than their parents.  Well, by my simple definition, anyone who knows the Bennett Family knows beyond any doubt that Mama Bennett was/and will FOREVER be known as a GREAT Woman/Mother/Wife/Spirit.

Ms. Willie Mae Anderson.

My my my what a wonderful woman. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet her during my time in Seattle.

I so remember the wonderful times we use to have when she would come in to work her weekly shift at the front desk. I too was there working and enjoying her company. She always had me laughing about one thing or another.

She would bring in her little television and I would get it just right for her when the static got to be too much. Once we got it set she was happy. She so enjoyed her time there helping others who would come by and keeping a smile on everyone's face. She was a natural comedian and just an all around sweet lady.

Though I haven't seen her in a while, no one could ever take away the joy she brought to me weekly. I just hope I made her day as well.

Love you Ms. Willie. Wow, what a great lady.

Grandma, Grandma, Grandma, there are so many memories of you. Where do I begin? Grandma, I remember that you had a special way of making me feel loved.  I will remember that you never missed a birthday. Every birthday you would send a thoughtful card and sometimes make a special homemade birthday cake to show your love. I thought this was great and this is something I plan to do for my kids and grandkids.
Grandma, I remember when you would watch over us and get up early in the morning to fix breakfast. You always made sure we had a nutritious meal before we started our day and that meant a lot to me.
Grandma I remember how much you loved to garden. I will miss seeing you out in the yard caring for your greens, tomatoes, and fixing your special fig preserves, which was one of my favorites. I will also miss coming over and watching movies like the "Nutty Professor" at your house. We would all laugh so hard at that movie, but Grandma, you would be “rolling” over in your chair in laughter.
Grandma I thank you so much for being a source of laughter, love and support. Thank you for being my source of comfort and wisdom. Thank you for being that extra breath of "I can" when at times I wanted to throw in the towel. You did not raise quitters, and because of you, I carry that spirit of determination with me to this day.
Grandma, life will not be the same without you physically here, but I know spiritually you will always be with each of us. I hope that you are enjoying your days in paradise. I love you so much and you will be missed.
